Inventory Group Leader
Position Overview:
As an Inventory Group Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our organization's inventory management processes. You will lead a team of inventory associates, ensuring accurate stock levels, efficient order fulfillment, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of inventory control principles, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of inventory associates, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and expectations.
Inventory Management:
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to prevent stockouts or overstocks.
- Plan and execute monthly cycle count and at least one physical inventory per year.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management.
- Implement best practices to enhance overall efficiency.
- Streamline workflows to minimize errors and reduce lead times.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analysis tools to generate insightful reports on inventory performance.
- Present regular reports to management and customers, highlighting key metrics.
- Implement measures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Training and Development:
- Conduct training sessions for team members on inventory control best practices.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to enhance team members' skills.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, including production, QA, PMs and procurement.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to improve end-to-end supply chain processes.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory records.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
