Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification required
• Math credits toward teaching endorsement (or Teacher of the Handicapped status with math credits)
• Previous experience teaching students with special needs strongly preferred
• Ability to develop and deliver effective math instruction for a variety of skill levels
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, parents, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized math instruction to students within the special education program
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that accommodate each student’s unique learning style and needs
• Track student progress and modify instruction based on data and observations
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations

This position is a full-time, onsite assignment—ideal if you’re dedicated to creating an inclusive classroom community. The contract runs from September 1, 2026, through June 24, 2027, providing 35 hours of direct instruction and support per week.
