Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as a Lead Energy Technician. You will act as a lead and install energy efficiency measures to reduce consumer energy bills for various utility and weatherization programs within a defined territory in a company-provided vehicle.

In this role, you will…

• Install energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heaters

• Perform minor repairs to include windows and doors

• Assist with loading and unloading work trucks

• Ensure measures installed are to program guidelines

• Troubleshoot technical problems and issues in accordance with utility specifications

• Ensure all required paperwork and status updates are completed daily

• Assist with keeping the job site organized and safe

• Assist with customer site job set up and tear down

• Perform testing of combustion appliances to ensure proper function.

Exciting candidates have…

• 1 – 3 years of general experience with residential construction, in-home customer service, field work, installation experience, etc.

• Minor plumbing and/or electrical experience is required

• High school diploma or GED required

• BPI certification preferred; or ability to obtain certification within 3 – 6 months (company provided)

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Able to work in different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather

• Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time 

• Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday

• Use repetitive hand motion & use of basic hand and power tools

• Use of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)

• Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds as needed

Target Compensation:

$28.00 - $32.00 depending on experience

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
