A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support Long Term Care (LTC) and Mail Order pharmacy operations over an 8-week contract. This position offers daytime hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend shifts, providing a balanced schedule designed to support quality patient care.

Location: Sicklerville, NJ
Schedule:

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications according to legal and professional standards.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns to ensure safe use.
• Verify that prescribed medications are appropriate and comply with state regulations.
• Maintain detailed, confidential patient and pharmacy records.
• Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Deliver patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the proper use and handling of medical devices, such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following strict procedural guidelines.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain accurate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare practitioners to resolve drug-related issues and optimize patient therapy.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Current licensure by the New Jersey state pharmacy board.
• Proven pharmacy experience, particularly in LTC or mail order settings.
• Experience working in New Jersey pharmacies is highly preferred.
