Python Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Python Developer for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency by scripting end‑to‑end processes and contributing to catalogue/workflow enhancements.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Python Developer job responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python and PowerShell to streamline infrastructure operations.

• Perform API integrations across systems and applications to enable seamless data and workflow connectivity.

• Design, script, and implement end‑to‑end process automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support and enhance workflows, including ServiceNow catalog and workflow automation.

• Manage and optimize code repositories using GitHub, ensuring proper version control and deployment practices.

• Work with SQL Server for data handling, queries, and integration tasks supporting automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in infrastructure automation and scripting.

• Strong expertise in Python, PowerShell, and API integration for automation solutions.

• Experience with GitHub, SQL Server, and exposure to ServiceNow catalog/workflow processes.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $56.00 per hour
