Hiring: Civil Engineer

Job Description

This position requires a dedicated civil engineer to engage in in-office design work. The role involves civil design tasks including street analysis, planning, geometric design, conceptual layouts, grading, and modeling. You will coordinate, write, and edit specifications, drawings, drainage reports, and data sheets for projects. The role also involves developing calculations, design documents, and permit applications. A thorough understanding of building and zoning codes, as well as the approval process related to civil engineering, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract documents including reports, plans, specifications, details, and cost estimates.
• Ensure technical completion of civil project services and project discipline scope elements within budget and schedule.
• Gather information for inclusion in engineering reports and technical studies.
• Perform quantity calculations and produce or check engineering analytical data to ensure design and technical reports are accurate.
• Review local ordinances and regulations.
• Complete assignments on time and within budget.
• Participate in public settings such as client and stakeholder meetings, incorporating public engagement in the design process.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience in stormwater management and grading.
• Proficient in site design.
• Possess or eligible to obtain FE/EIT certification, with the ability to sit for the Professional Engineer (PE) exam within 18-24 months.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Edison,NJ.
