Director of Social Services Responsibilities

As our Director of Social Services , you will oversee the Social Services Department and help ensure residents receive the emotional, social, and psychosocial support they need.

Responsibilities include:

• Direct, establish, and oversee Social Services Department policies and procedures

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Participate in care plan meetings and advocate for residents' needs

• Educate residents and families regarding Advanced Directives

• Coordinate and support smooth admissions and discharges

• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, administration, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

• Provide leadership and support to the Social Services team

• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and facility policies

Qualifications for Director of Social Services

• NJ LSW or CSW required

• LCSW also welcomed

• Long-term care experience preferred, but not required

• Previous staff management experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

• Ability to work independently and effectively within an interdisciplinary team
