Location: 300 Victoria Terrace, Ridgefield, NJ 07657

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $25 - $38/ hr.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Class A, B or C Automotive Diesel Technician to join our fully renovated state-of-the-art facility here in Ridgefield, NJ.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, electrical troubleshooting, fuel and emissions system, air and hydraulic brake repairs, welding and fabrication, driveline, steering and suspension, plus other duties assigned.
• Assisting fellow technicians with repairs while maintaining compliance with safety.
• Maintaining knowledge of new technology in advanced diagnostics, internal engine and transmission repairs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Completing necessary training.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2 years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience (heavy- duty preferred)
• Advanced skills in strategy-based diagnostics; be able to utilize diagnostic tools and computers to identify root cause and correction
• Freightliner, Detroit, Cummins, Eaton experience preferred
• ASE certifications, knowledge of DOT standards

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Commercial Driver's License preferred but not required
