About the role: The PLC Automation Controls Engineer specializes in designing, building, and optimizing automation control systems within a small dedicated team. This role focuses on new system design and build projects as well as system upgrades and optimization, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. The engineer will develop and integrate PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and network configurations, ensuring seamless electrical automation operations.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• PLC Systems Design and Engineering experience; should be versed in Ladder Logic.
• Experience with HMI Systems Software and user interfaces including customization, configuration and connectivity to the overall system; experience with Intellution (aka: iFIX) and or Wonderware (aka: InTouch) are pluses.
• Experience designing systems with Electric Power Scaling to 'Step Up Power and Step Down Power'; should be familiar with Voltage Regulation, Dynamic Response, Impedance Regulation, Power Conditioning/Power Modulation or similar areas.
• Experience using Electrical AutoCAD for layout and overall systems design (and customization)
• Experience configuring and connecting industrial network communications to PLC Systems; should be familiar with things like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus RTU, CanOpen or similar.
• Experience with Data or Database connectivity to PLC Automation systems; should be familiar with OPC Servers, PC Drivers/Custom Scripts, PLC-to-SQL modules or similar
• Detail Oriented with Very Strong Oral and Written communication skills
• Experience Designing/Building Electrical Automation Systems for External clients or customers is a plus.
• A BSEE is Preferred.
