Arcade Store Manager

Overview: YESTERcades is a gaming experience straight out of the Golden Age of Gaming! We provide a safe environment where customers go to relive their teenage years playing classic arcade machines for hours upon hours at their local arcade. We have a variety of arcade video games, pinball machines as well as a complete variety of gaming console stations! This position is located in our Metuchen, NJ location!
Responsibilities: As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of your location. You will work closely with our General Managers , as well as support all staff members in both of our locations. In addition, you will be expected to maintain your knowledge and experience level with the ever evolving gaming landscape.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Management of YESTERcades' retail functions to ensure a safe, fun environment for every customer.
- Supervise and direct operational activities of all employees on duty to ensure daily operational objectives were achieved.
- Perform basic machine maintenance as needed in an effort to keep outsourced repair services to a minimum.
- Ordering/shopping for the store on a weekly/biweekly basis. This includes janitorial needs, food and drink products, and basic office supplies.
- Booking and planning of parties, events, and group outings.
- Perform opening and closing routines including bank deposits and back office paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Availability for varied weekly shifts including weekend closing and opening, as well as holidays. Work hours will be based on business needs.
- Ability to support locations in Westfield, Somerville and Red Bank in order to provide immediate needs of that location.
- Reliable source of transportation.
- Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
- Customer service and/or retail experience.
- Previous management experience of 2+ years.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook, as well as possessing basic computer knowledge.
