About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cat Scan Technologist (CT Tech) to join our Radiology team in New Jersey. In this role, you will perform CT procedures with professionalism, accuracy, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience with CT equipment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans according to established protocols, ensuring patient safety and quality imaging.

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, supplies, and instruments for procedures.

• Verify patient identification and review medical history, labs, and prior imaging studies.

• Communicate effectively with patients and families to reduce anxiety and maintain dignity.

• Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections; initiate emergency response if needed.

• Screen patients for allergies and medication contraindications.

• Maintain adequate inventory of contrast media, linens, and supplies; report expired or low stock.

• Clean and maintain CT rooms, gantry, tables, and equipment after each use.

• Perform quality assurance (QA/QC) testing per ACR and departmental standards.

• Assist with emergency and trauma cases (Code Grey, Trauma, Partial Trauma), ensuring immediate image acquisition, processing, and communication with Radiologists.

• Collaborate with staff to manage workflow, prioritize emergent cases, and ensure timely patient transport.

• Report equipment malfunctions and unusual operating conditions promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Completion of an accredited Radiography program.

• Current ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certification .

• Valid NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License .

• Current BLS certification .

• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Schedule & Shifts

• Sunday – Wednesday | 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight)

• Includes on-call rotation as scheduled.

• 10-hour shifts.
