We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be the face of our company during interactions with clients. A strong understanding of route driving and the ability to handle heavy lifting is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Operate a box truck or van to deliver packages and goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of all products.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Utilize equipment such as hand trucks for loading and unloading heavy items.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with heavy lifting and handling of large packages is a plus.
- Proficiency in route planning and navigation tools is beneficial.
- Ability to operate a hand truck and other loading equipment safely.
