Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide essential care and assistance for a client in Matawan, NJ. In addition to supporting daily living activities, this role also includes the care of two small dogs, ensuring they receive proper attention, veterinary visits, and general care. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for both caregiving and animal care, looking to contribute to the well-being of a household.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care Support: Assist the client with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and mobility as needed.
• Medication Management: Help the client manage medication schedules, ensuring prescriptions are taken as directed.
• Companionship: Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and comforting environment.
• Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, tidying up, and meal preparation.
• Dog Care: Take care of two small dogs, including feeding, walking, and providing attention and affection.
• Vet Visits: Transport and accompany the dogs to regular veterinary appointments or other necessary check-ups.
• Transportation Assistance: Occasionally help the client with errands and appointments, if needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Certification: Must have a current, valid Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license.
• Experience: Previous experience in home healthcare is preferred.
• Animal Care: Comfort and experience in caring for small dogs (feeding, walking, grooming).
• Dependability: Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Compassionate Nature: A caring, patient, and empathetic demeanor is essential to provide exceptional care to both the client and the dogs.
• Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to take the dogs to veterinary appointments.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform light household chores and assist with physical activities as needed.

Schedule:

• Hours: 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday (specific time to be determined with client).
• Flexible Start Time: Hours can be adjusted to meet the client's needs but must be within weekday business hours.

Compensation:

• Competitive pay, based on experience and qualifications.
• Paid training, if applicable.
