We are hiring an experienced Machine Operator for a specialized digital printing environment focused on precision, speed, and high-quality production.

Job Description:

1. Set up and operate bindery equipment, such as cutting, folding, stitching, and binding machines, to process printed materials.
2. Review job orders, specifications, and customer requirements to determine the appropriate setup and materials needed for each project.
3. Adjust and calibrate machine settings to ensure accurate alignment, appropriate paper handling, and proper finishing of printed materials.
4. Monitor production processes to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions that may affect the quality or efficiency of operations, making adjustments as necessary.
5. Inspect printed materials throughout the production process to ensure they meet quality standards, making adjustments and performing quality checks to maintain consistency.
6. Perform routine maintenance on bindery equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns.
7. Collaborate with production teams to coordinate workflow, prioritize jobs, and meet production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects.
8. Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed for bindery operations, tracking usage and ordering replacements as necessary.
9. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in bindery technology, and equipment operation techniques to continuously improve efficiency and quality of work.

Bindery Operator Required Skills

1. Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills to operate and troubleshoot bindery equipment effectively.
2. Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality to ensure accurate and flawless finished products.
3. Time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changes in production requirements and schedules.
5. Basic mathematical skills to perform calculations, measurements, and adjustments required for bindery operations.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production teams, follow instructions, and provide feedback.
7. Physical stamina and dexterity to stand, lift, and maneuver heavy materials or equipment for extended periods.
8. Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents.

Schedules:

Monday-Friday, 6:30 am-3:00 pm

Monday-Friday, 11:00 am-7:30 pm

Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm-11:00 pm

Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 pm-7:00 am
