Location: Westville, NJ
Pay: $40-45/per hour + OT

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician 1st Class for a dynamic role in a cutting-edge industrial environment? In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting critical electrical and control systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of high-performance equipment. You will work hands-on with PLCs, DCS controls, and high-voltage systems while contributing to environmentally responsible energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems
• Work with PLC/DCS controls to diagnose and repair complex systems
• Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and preventive maintenance
• Support power generation, steam plant operations, and electrical distribution
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Participate in emergency response and rotating shifts as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial electrical & instrumentation maintenance (or 2+ years as a 2nd Class E&I Technician)
• Strong understanding of power generation, waste-to-energy, or heavy industrial operations
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop sheets, and electrical schematics
• Experience with PLCs, DCS programming, and turbine generator controls is a plus
• Welding experience is highly preferred
• State or federal electrical licenses as required
