Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist

Description

• Transaction Processing & Coding.
• Accurately codes invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests following standard procedures for financial system entry.
• Handles vendor correspondence via phone and email.
• Responds to customer billing inquiries, resends bills, and sends collection emails.
• Resolves routine internal and external inquiries regarding account status and discrepancies.
• Supports the AP three-way match process.
• Investigates and resolves invoice and purchase order processing issues.
• Prepares batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Create invoices and facilitate payment of invoices due, follow up with clients on outstanding approvals, and payment requests
• Prepare post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Accounts Receivable (AR) Support.
• Produces the monthly aging report.
• Reconciliations & Reporting.
• Assists with processing month-end accruals for financial reports and monthly closings.
• General Accounting Support.
• Provides journal entry support as needed.
• Assists with additional AP, AR or accounting tasks required.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Accounting highly preferred.
• 1-3 years experience as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk or Bookkeeper
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles preferred.
• Able to calculate and manage appropriate accounting records with strong understanding of expense accounts, prepaids and accruals.
• SAP B1 experience preferred
• High-degree of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously.
• Interest in 3rd Party applications to enhance efficiencies.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
