Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our dynamic team in East Brunswick, NJ. As a Tool Maker, you will play a crucial role in the production process by designing, fabricating, and maintaining tools and fixtures that are essential for manufacturing operations. Responsibilities- Design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures based on specifications and engineering drawings.
- Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Inspect and test tools to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues.
- Maintain and repair existing tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep accurate records of tool designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Tool Making or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Tool Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tool design, and materials.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with CNC machines and programming is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You should be proficient in:
- Tool/Die/Mold Repair Skills
- Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience
- Blueprint Reading
Machines & technologies you'll use:
- CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
