Urgent Care Physican Assistant

Key Responsibilities of the Urgent Care Physician Assistant
The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will be responsible for providing timely and efficient medical care to patients of all ages with various medical conditions. The role involves direct patient interaction, evaluation, and treatment in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including obtaining comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging to support diagnostic processes and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate effectively with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordination and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in the electronic medical records system.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare laws and regulations to uphold patient safety standards.
Requirements for the Urgent Care Physician Assistant
We require a dedicated Urgent Care Physician Assistant who meets the following qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
- Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- A minimum of 1 years of clinical experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and cooperation with patients and team members.
- Proficiency in usage of electronic health record systems.
