Insurance Defense Associate
A well established law firm is seeking a New Jersey licensed attorney who is comfortable handling NJ matters with 2+ years insurance defense or insurance coverage experience. The firm is seeking an individual who can thrive in a hybrid work environment, is willing to learn, and has the ability to work independently and as a team. This is a fast-paced work envirnment that requires the ability to multitask.
Job Responsibilities
- Review newly assigned files to develop strategic action plans, budgets, and case recommendations.
- Determine pleading requirements and assign appropriate tasks to paralegals.
- Draft and respond to discovery, overseeing all aspects of document production.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and other discovery proceedings, and provide detailed summaries and reports.
- Negotiate settlements, obtain necessary authority, and prepare cases for trial when required.
- Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with paralegals and legal support staff.
