Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Cloud DevOps Engineer / SRE / Infrastructure Engineer with strong OpenShift build and administration skills , paired with Java or Python development expertise and a solid background in virtualization using VMware . This is a hands-on role focused on automating infrastructure at scale within a containerized enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and automate enterprise-grade OpenShift environments .

• Build and maintain custom APIs and automation scripts using Java or Python.

• Deploy and manage virtualized systems, ensuring performance, availability, and scalability.

• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams to improve platform efficiency.

• Drive automation initiatives to support CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code .

• Troubleshoot system-level issues and optimize compute and storage resources.

• Top 3 Required Skills:

  • • OpenShift (High Priority) – Must have strong hands-on experience in building, installing, and automating OpenShift clusters in enterprise settings. Not just usage – administration-level knowledge is mandatory.

    • Java or Python Development – Strong development background with ability to build APIs and automation tools.

    • VMware / Virtualization – Practical experience managing and scaling VMware-based virtual infrastructures .

  Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with KVM , Hyper-V , or other hypervisors.

  • Exposure to Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies.

  • Familiarity with KubeVirt or Kubernetes-native virtualization.

  Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in Cloud/DevOps/Infrastructure roles.

  • Proven OpenShift cluster build and automation experience.

  • Proficient in Java or Python programming, with API development experience.

  • Strong understanding of VMware infrastructure .

  • Ability to work onsite or hybrid as needed in Jersey City, NJ .

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
