Pediatric Outpatient LPN
Department of Pediatrics Saint Peter‘s is among the few hospitals in the world to have earned its 7th consecutive Magnet® designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation. Our team of award-winning nurses is growing, and we are looking for talented, compassionate RNs to join our team. The Pediatric Outpatient LPN will:
- Demonstrate competency in performing all procedures within scope of practice and requirements for positions, including data collection, as appropriate to the ages of the patients‘ growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
- When requested, inform and instruct patient/caregivers on patient‘s health/illness state and Plan of Care.
- Document on the Superbill and the Medical Record all aspects of patient care accurately.
- Administer medications and parenteral therapy in accordance with established Saint Peter‘s University Hospital guidelines.
- Report all necessary information and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an Accredited Practical School of Nursing.
- Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
