Senior Program Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Program Manager on a contract basis in Northern New Jersey. The individual will independently leverage their engineering and program/project management expertise to lead and execute complex, cross-functional programs from initial concept through commercialization. They will collaborate across multiple disciplines and locations to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities in this role involve managing programs of increasing complexity and scope, coordinating across multiple teams and functions, and ensuring the successful delivery of program objectives.
• Lead complex, multi-phase programs from development through launch and post-market support.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Drive program execution through structured planning, milestone management, proactive risk identification, and implementation of mitigation strategies.
• Maintain visibility to technical, operational, regulatory, and commercial implications of program decisions.
• Direct and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, regulatory, quality, marketing, and commercial functions.
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives within a broader program portfolio, balancing scope, timelines, and resources.
• Establish and track program budgets, performance metrics, and key deliverables.
• Anticipate and resolve complex program-level risks, interdependencies, and escalation scenarios.
• Align program execution with commercial strategy, customer needs, and market positioning within the aesthetics space.
• Provide structured updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency around progress, financial performance, and risk.
• Contribute to governance processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and organizational best practices in program management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or a related discipline preferred; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive project and/or program management experience, including leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading, preferably within medical device, healthcare, or regulated product environments.
• Proven ability to drive programs from concept through commercialization and market launch.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal oversight.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk management, governance structures, and cross-functional execution.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead teams without direct reporting authority.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive presentation skills.
• Experience within regulated industries, such as medical device or pharmaceutical, preferred.
• Formal project or program management certification or training preferred.
