Weekend International Logistics Specialist (Hybrid)

About the position:

This is a Full-Time position with hours working Friday- Monday on a weekly basis. The Weekend International Logistics Specialist handles import operations, including all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. The Logistics Specialist manages expedited transactions and tasks to meet customer needs and comply with government requirements.

Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:

• Able to accurately track and trace all shipments
• Able to clearly identify urgency level, escalate, and provide alternative options for urgent shipments.
• Proactively maintain communication with clients on status of their shipments, as well as actively maintain and escalate communication with steamship lines and truckers.
• Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, customs, or other governmental agency examinations that may be required and arrange and track delivery of goods.

You are a great fit for this role if you:

• Have at least 1-3 years of prior Supply Chain/Transportation experience required with preferred Bachelors Degree in Logistics. 3PL experience is a plus.
• Thrive on providing excellent customer service, working as part of a team, and finding and recommending creative solutions to common problems.
• Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, meet deadlines, manage risk, and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
• Are detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Work Environment:

Will work in a desk area with a computer, phone, and other office equipment required to perform the duties/responsibilities of the position. Work from home flexibility
