Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician
Are you a dedicated veterinary technician looking to advance your career in a thriving, collaborative, and progressive environment? Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) is a new, state-of-the-art facility that opened in May 2024—an expansive, 100,000+ square foot space nearly twice the size of our original Tinton Falls location. Equipped with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. Thoughtful amenities—including feline-only waiting areas, a rehab unit, comfort rooms, and a serene zen garden—reflect our commitment to exceptional care for pets and their families.
This position supports the ophthalmology service by delivering patient care and technical assistance during exams, treatments, and surgery. Duties include safe animal handling, monitoring patient status, administering medications and IV fluids, performing phlebotomy and catheter placement, assisting with anesthesia and emergency care, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also involves preparing and troubleshooting specialized ophthalmic and anesthesia equipment, managing inventory and lab samples, communicating with clinicians and clients, and helping keep the hospital and surgical areas clean, stocked, and ready for patient care.
