Job Title: TIG WelderJob Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with over two years of experience in welding thin gauge stainless steel. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in both TIG and MIG welding, with a strong ability to create fixtures and fit-ups. Proficiency in reading welding blueprints and identifying welding symbols is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on thin gauge stainless steel.
• Create fixtures and fit-ups with precision.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints and symbols accurately.
• Collaborate on sheet metal fabrication tasks.
• Operate machines and participate in assembly and fitting processes.
• Use hand tools and tape measures efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Experience in TIG and MIG welding of thin gauge stainless steel.
• Ability to make fixtures and fit-ups.
• Proficiency in reading welding blueprints and symbols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal manufacturing is a plus.
• Machine operation skills.
• Assembly and fitting experience.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.
• Possession of own basic tools and welding equipment.

Work Environment

Work in a sheet metal fabrication shop with hours from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Experience minimal overtime while on contract. The shop is hot in the summer and heated during the winter.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
