Jersey Women's Care Center (JWCC) has exciting employment opportunities for experience medical receptionist to support a busy OBGYN practice in Jersey City, NJ. General Medical Receptionist responsibilities include: - Greeting patients and visitors as they arrive at the office.
- Perform registration to ensure demographic and insurance information is accurate and complete. Complies with department procedures and regulatory guidelines for HIPAA.
- Confirming insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Answer telephones promptly and courteously, while handling multiple phone lines. Routes patients calls efficiently and appropriately to the appropriate area/individual.
- Collecting co-pays and other patient payments.
- Scheduling appointments, inform patients of delay's in physician schedules, assists with patient comfort while delayed.
- Contacting insurance companies regarding issues with medical claims.
- Scanning and processing patient health information in ECW.
Experience & Qualifications: - High School diploma with 1+ years of related experience
- Familiarity with office administrative procedure and medical terminologies.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (ECW)
- Outstanding communication and customer services skill.
- Must be able to work independently and on a team.
- Must have problems solving skills
- Bi-lingual
