Forklift Operator

Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Springfield, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 7AM - 4PM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $21 / hour 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations by operating sit-down forklifts and assisting with order picking and material handling. This role is responsible for maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety while meeting daily and weekly performance goals. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift (gas or electric) to move materials throughout the facility
• Perform order picking, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping tasks
• Maintain productivity levels to meet daily and weekly KPIs and performance goals
• Ensure accurate handling and placement of materials
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company guidelines
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free
• Support additional warehouse tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

• MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish.
• Prior experience operating a sit-down forklift required
• All candidates must complete an interview and pass an equipment/driving test
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
