This person will report to the Manufacturing Group Manager (MGM) who is responsible for three processing departments: Machining, Welding, and Finishing. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team. The person will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to create high-quality products according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Specifically, the ideal candidate will be able to:

• · Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• · Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders.
• · Fabricate metal components by cutting, bending, and assembling materials.
• · Perform welding tasks on various metals, including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
• · Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
• · Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
• · Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.
• · Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time. * This is critical in a small company where many hats are sometimes worn. *
• · Demonstrate good interpersonal skills at all times.
• MUST PASS A DRUG TEST as part of our Safety Protocols.

General:

• Given the continued growth of the company, this person may also provide support to the two other departments within the Manufacturing Group as well as other areas of the organisation.
• In addition to the above and to be successful, the candidate needs to be a team player with a can-do attitude in order to integrate with the existing team
