Technical Accounting & Treasury Services Intern – Summer 2026
Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization that delivers services to all Munich Re US P&C Companies and other group entities.
The Opportunity
The Technical Accounting & Treasury Services (TATS) Intern will obtain a good understanding of the tasks and responsibilities within the technical accounting and treasury departments at a reinsurance company. They will become proficient with reinsurance terminology, be able to work with client reported data and be exposed to accounting concepts contained within a reinsurance contract.
Major responsibilities may include:
- Assist with the timely and accurate recording of client account statements
- Assist with investigating and resolving open payable/receivable balances
- Assist with completing contingent calculations
- Assist with the application of cash receipts and disbursements
- Assist with the daily reconciliation of account receivable transactions with bank statements/general ledger
- Assist on special projects as needed
Required skills and competencies:
- Data manipulation and analysis
- Solid math and analytic skills
- Detail oriented
- Excel required, Access is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
- Preferred Majors: Accounting, Finance
- Accepted Majors: Accounting, Finance, Business, Math
- Gradel level: undergraduate students; master’s students will not be considered
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer applications
- Other skills: Strong written and verbal communication
This role will be based in Princeton, NJ. The base range for this internship will be $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. The hourly estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton. Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate will include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.
