Job Description:

As a Data Entry Clerk for the logistics department, you will play a crucial role in managing and entering data related to shipments, inventory, deliveries, and other logistical functions. You will work closely with the logistics and operations teams to ensure that data is entered correctly and efficiently, supporting smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Data Entry & Management: Accurately enter shipment details, inventory data, delivery schedules, and other logistics-related information into the company’s database or software systems.

· Document Handling: Process, organize, and maintain documents related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

· Inventory Updates: Assist in tracking inventory levels and ensuring data is accurate for stock counts, reorders, and distribution.

· Reporting: Generate and maintain routine reports for the logistics team, including shipment status, delivery tracking, and warehouse updates.

· Quality Control: Review data for discrepancies and resolve issues by communicating with relevant team members or departments.

· Communication: Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to ensure seamless flow of information and support logistical activities.

· System Updates: Assist in maintaining and updating logistics software, ensuring that data is current and accurate.

· Documentation Support: Help with preparing shipping documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred).

· Proven experience in data entry, preferably within logistics, supply chain, or warehouse environments.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and logistics software or ERP systems.

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with logistics or warehouse management systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

· Knowledge of shipping and receiving terminology.

· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
