This program focuses on increasing voter participation and engagement in Paterson, NJ , and ensuring that every voice in the community is heard . At Solidarity Strategies, we are committed to electing Democrats and driving progressive change through grassroots organizing and one-on-one conversations with voters.

We’re hiring passionate, outgoing, and reliable canvassers to join our field team in Paterson, NJ . As a canvasser, you will speak directly with voters at their doors, share information about the campaign, and collect important data using tools like MiniVAN .

This is an entry-level position — no prior experience required . Paid training will be provided. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license . Flexible schedules and multiple shifts are available.

• Go door-to-door in assigned neighborhoods

• Talk with voters and share information about the campaign

• Accurately collect and record data using MiniVAN

• Submit daily reports and check in with your supervisor

• Represent the campaign and its values professionally

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Field Director or Field Organizers

• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with new people

• Friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

• Tech-savvy and able to use a smartphone for data entry and navigation

• Problem-solving skills for efficient route planning

• Must be 18 years or older

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Must have a smartphone with mobile data

• Access to reliable transportation

• Flexible availability: 12+ hours per week

• $27 hour starting pay, with opportunities to earn up to $30/hr .
