Client Accountant - Cherry Hill, NJ

Role:

The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day financial transactions for multiple clients, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support the preparation of financial statements. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency with bookkeeping software, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions (A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, journal entries).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers for multiple clients.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and payroll records monthly.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
• Assist CPAs with tax preparation by organizing supporting documents and schedules.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (CPA firm or public accounting experience preferred).
• Experience with payroll and sales tax processing/filing preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of double-entry accounting and GAAP.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Base Salary: $60-70k+, commensurate with experience.
• Additional Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.
