Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented DOT Qualifications Processor to support driver onboarding and ongoing compliance efforts. This role is responsible for ensuring all commercial drivers meet federal regulatory requirements set by the  U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)  and the  Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) .
This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate Driver Qualification (DQ) files, supporting audits, and ensuring drivers remain compliant throughout their employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, audit, and maintain  Driver Qualification (DQ) files  in accordance with DOT regulations
- Verify  Commercial Driverâs Licenses (CDL) , endorsements, and driving eligibility
- Obtain and review  Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs)
- Coordinate  drug and alcohol testing programs , including pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing
- Track and validate  DOT medical certifications and physical exams
- Conduct  employment and safety history verifications  with previous employers
- Monitor compliance timelines and proactively manage document expirations
- Assist with  DOT audits, compliance reviews, and reporting
- Partner with recruiting and operations teams to ensure efficient onboarding of drivers
Qualifications
- 1â3+ years of experience in DOT compliance, driver qualification, or transportation administration
- Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Experience managing DQ files and compliance documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with compliance platforms such as Tenstreet, SambaSafety, Foley, or similar systems is preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting DOT audits or safety programs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and proactively identify compliance risks
