Maintenance Mechanic – Location – Wayne, NJ

We are currently seeking a dedicated Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance team in Wayne, NJ.

Position Overview:

The Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks for company vehicles, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures that all Bonland facilities and assets remain in safe, reliable working condition through scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair, overhaul and maintain company vehicles
• Administer preventative maintenance program and perform scheduled maintenance
• Track, schedule and perform DOT inspections
• Track and schedule diesel emissions tests
• Diagnose problems with vehicles, verify with supervisor and proceed with repairs
• Order replacement parts to repair company vehicles
• Perform all maintenance, repairs and tune-ups of safety and non-safety related items
• Perform brake jobs and repair safety related items; repair flat tires, on both cars and trucks
• Perform duties to drive non CDL truck for parts pick-up and road testing of vehicles as requested
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations
• Always work in a safe manner
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• MUST have a valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets Bonland’s Approved Driver Criteria.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• 1-2 years experience maintaining, inspecting, and repairing tools and machinery, including identifying and replacing defective parts (preferred).
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, and other machine components.
• Competence in inspecting machinery and equipment to identify defects and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
