The Opportunity
We're seeking a Product Manager for Identity Verification to own and drive the roadmap for our Gartner-recognized identity verification platform. This is your chance to shape a product used by millions of users across the world's leading enterprises, directly influencing how organizations verify identities, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance.
You'll own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for our identity verification capabilities, balancing customer needs, market trends, regulatory requirements, and technical innovation. This role is ideal for a product leader who wants significant ownership, the ability to move fast, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact at a high-growth Series B startup.
What You'll Do
Own the Product Roadmap

• Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for 1Kosmos' identity verification platform, prioritizing features that deliver customer value and competitive differentiation
• Set product strategy based on market analysis, customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and business objectives
• Make critical build vs. buy vs. partner decisions that accelerate time-to-market and maximize ROI
• Maintain a healthy backlog aligned to quarterly and annual goals

Drive Product Innovation
Identify opportunities to enhance document verification capabilities (passports, driver's licenses, government IDs, etc.) using OCR, computer vision, and AI/ML

• Evolve biometric verification features including liveness detection, facial recognition, and anti-spoofing technologies
• Develop a workflow builder that can scale to help customers build bespoke
• Design seamless verification experiences for workers, customers, and citizens across mobile and web platforms
• Stay ahead of emerging fraud vectors and build defenses into the product

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

• Partner with Engineering to translate product requirements into technical specifications and ensure high-quality delivery
• Work with Design/UX to create frictionless verification experiences that balance security with user convenience
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to understand customer pain points, identify growth areas, and drive adoption
• Engage with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure product meets regulatory requirements across global markets
• Coordinate with Marketing to position features, launch new capabilities, and drive customer awareness

Be Customer-Obsessed

• Conduct customer interviews, usability testing, and data analysis to deeply understand user needs and pain points
• Build strong relationships with key customers and prospects to validate assumptions and gather feedback
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear value propositions for different personas (IT, security, compliance, end users)
• Monitor product metrics including verification success rates, user drop-off, false positive/negative rates, and customer satisfaction
• Advocate for customers internally and ensure their voice shapes product decisions

Lead with Data

• Define and track KPIs that measure product health, adoption, and business impact
• Analyze product usage data to identify opportunities for optimization and growth
• Conduct A/B tests and experiments to validate hypotheses and improve conversion
• Build business cases for new initiatives, quantifying expected ROI and impact

Stay Ahead of the Market

• Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends in identity verification, biometrics, and authentication
• Track regulatory changes across jurisdictions and ensure product compliance
• Represent 1Kosmos at industry events, customer meetings, and analyst briefings
• Contribute to thought leadership through blogs, webinars, and speaking engagements

What You Bring
Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience , preferably in identity verification, authentication, cybersecurity, or enterprise SaaS
• Proven track record owning and delivering a product roadmap from strategy through execution
• Deep understanding of identity verification technologies including document verification, biometrics, liveness detection, and identity proofing
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams on complex solutions
• Customer-centric mindset with experience conducting user research and translating insights into product requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
• Data-driven decision maker comfortable with analytics, experimentation, and metrics
• Startup mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in KYC/AML, fraud prevention, or trust & safety
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in computer vision, OCR, or biometric authentication
• Experience shipping mobile-first or omnichannel products
• Technical background or engineering degree
• Experience working with Gartner, Forrester, or other analyst firms
• Track record of launching products in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government)
