Special Education Teacher – 3rd Grade

Compensation: $60 per hour

Location: Pennsauken, NJ 08109

About the Role:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of your students. You’ll work closely with fellow educators and support staff to assess student progress, address challenges, and create a positive and safe learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement daily lesson plans that meet students’ individual learning needs
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress regularly
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify and support students facing academic or social challenges
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with parents, administrators, and staff to ensure student success
• Enforce school policies, rules, and administrative regulations
• Keep a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment
• Participate in professional development to continuously enhance teaching skills
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of certification and employment

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey State Certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (#2475 with Endorsement #1001) or Teacher of Handicap (#2470)
• At least 1 year of experience in Special Education is preferred
• Successful completion of New Jersey Criminal History Review Unit fingerprinting
• Compliance with New Jersey State residency requirements for public employees
