Solution Developer I
Develop and support application software as required to support the objectives of Information Technology and the business units.
Responsibilities:- Participate in project meetings that are held to discuss project scope, requirements, design, planning, and status.
- Learn, use, become proficient in the technologies, tools, and techniques that are established and standardized for Solution Development by IT Management:
- Technologies include SQL Server/T-SQL, ASP.NET/VB.NET, MS-Access, Crystal Reports.NET, Oracle PL/SQL, Loftware, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
- Tools include SourceSafe, Web Matrix, Query Analyzer, TOAD, Query Farm and Crystal Designer.
- Techniques include Proc Lists, Tracing, Transactions, ADI, Production Control, Naming Conventions and other best practices.
- Apply analysis, design, coding, testing, and production control best practices in a team environment towards the timely development and support of application software.
- Work alone or with other developers under the guidance of Development Supervisors, Project Managers, and IT Management to complete development tasks that meet business requirements.
- Bachelors in MIS or Computer Science degree or comparable work experience.
- Warehousing or Transportation Logistics experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of data integration tools & technologies (Including EDI X12) is a plus.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to provide off-hours support as required to perform job functions and ensure service delivery.
- Must be able to travel with potential for extended overnight trips (up to 10%).
- Minimum of 4 years of software development experience.
- Good technical knowledge in application development tools, techniques, best practices and methodologies.
- Experience working on projects from concept to implementation alone or with a team.
- Ability to conduct software reviews and status updates with Manager.
- Experience with database technologies.
- SQL query development (Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle).
- Advanced Stored Procedure development using Microsoft T-SQL.
- Troubleshooting and performance tuning database queries.
- Experience with web development technologies.
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- ASP.NET MVC using VB or C#.
- DevExpress toolkit.
- Experience with web services and custom API service architecture.
- XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, RAML.
- Experience with API Management tools.
- Experience with Microsoft development tools and technologies.
- Visual Studio.
- SQL Server Management Studio.
- Team Foundation Server.
- .NET Framework using VB or C#.
- Experience with JavaScript or CSS frameworks is a plus.
- Experience with reporting tools and technologies is a plus.
- SSRS/Crystal Reports/Jasper/Cognos.
- BarTender/Loftware/MarkMagic/ZPL.
- Office productivity tools including Excel, Word, and others
- Established coding, testing, rollout, and follow-up skills.
We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $76,549.98 - $102,066.64 . This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 3%. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
