Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher position is available for a middle school setting in Paterson, NJ. This is a leave replacement contract opportunity, ideal for educators experienced in providing tailored instructional support to students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school students
• Ability to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management skills
• Effective munication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with identified disabilities
• Develop, update, and maintain IEPs in pliance with applicable regulations
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices
• Participate in meetings related to student performance and needs
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
