How you will make history here…

Senior Technician - QA will conduct the day-to-day quality assurance requirements in the plant. Position is responsible for all regulatory compliance management and execution of the plant's overall food safety and quality management programs such as but not limited to HACCP/ FSP plans, prerequisite and sanitation programs, policies and procedures, work instruction, record keeping and reviewing, finished product traceability and mock recalls. Position will be managing planning of plant and Kitchen 1869 work execution thru planning tool. Individual will be responsible for product and environmental microbiological testing program, investigates nonconforming product incidents (CAPA) and Hold and Release program. Support annual review of HACCP/FSP plans and the preparation activities of third party/ regulatory audits. Oversee in process quality requirement of of R&D Operations and Kitchen 1869. Manage Alchemy for the quality and safety training programs for R&D Operations. Provide support on an as needed basis to the Plant safety process, which includes execution of audits, corrective actions, and document management.


What you will do…

1. 30% Execute daily distribution, collection and review of control documentation of product manufacturing and release, ensure all quality standards are strictly enforced throughout the entire manufacturing cycle and product specification are met. Collaborate with production team and monitor all processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.

2. 20% Support preparation of Third Party and regulatory audits of Quality and Safety, by ensuring implementing, maintaining, recording, training, auditing, and validating all food safety and food quality policies, standards, and procedures

3. 15% Planning and Execution thru eMaint Application as Site Administrator

4. 10% Management of EMP and Alchemy Program

5. 10% Over see in-process quality of plant and Kitchen 1869. Ensures daily routine sample analyses using corporate lab techniques/ methods and instrumentation are in good condition, supply stock control and Good Laboratory Practices are followed.

6. 10% Manage assigned safety section and support Plant's Safety matrices and initiatives

7. 5% GAP Assessments, management of QA root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions

Job Complexity

  • Leverage regulatory/quality expertise to drive FSQA programs compliance and execution adherence. Manage and execute all plant food safety and quality programs, ensuring procedures are in place to comply to all company and regulatory standards
  • • Support Operations Team in planning manufacturing through E-Maint and also ensure quality program needs are met.
  • • Conduct review of documentation for verification of all preventative controls/ Critical Control Points to ensure compliance to FSMA Food safety plans and HACCP plans; and product attributes and characteristics to ensure compliance to Manufacturing Specifications.
  • Responsible for initiating Root Cause Analysis for the investigation of consumer complaints and quality related losses. prioritizing corrective action responses including follow-up to ensure CAPAs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Support maintenance of current GFSI Audit standards and successful completion of certification process.Conduct monthly plant GMP audits including follow up on corrective action and analyze the trend to ensure compliance to all Campbell Soup and regulatory requirements
  • Support and guide plant operations through effective communication to comply with the plant's quality and HAACP/FSPs
  • Accountable for ensuring plant sanitation preventative control requirements are met. Manage Environmental Monitoring program
  • Monitors quality programs effectiveness and provide input, guidance and solutions. Assist in the timely reporting of quality key performance indicators to plant management.
  • Manage finished product traceability program.
  • Co-Lead training program to ensure training records are built in Alchemy and effectiveness of training was verified.
  • Assists in developing knowledge and understanding of quality systems with plant personnel. Monitor and mentor employees for GMP adherence
  • Communicate with the USDA onsite officials as necessary/required. Report all immediate concerns to the Quality Manager
  • Provide support to the North American Supply Chain Quality group as required.
  • Support the plant occupational safety process via management of s "Risk Assessment" and participation in training, safety events, program updates, corrective actions and document management

What you bring to the table (must have) …

  • Minimum education required: High School Diploma
  • 5 years’ experience in QA, with some experience in food or pharma

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills validated planning and organizing skills, leadership, partnership, and influencing or teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Canning and Thermal processing
  • Background in food processing and Quality Assurance
  • Driving quality initiatives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Problem solving/analytical thinking • Proficient with computer systems, Sharepoint site usage and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$54,600-$78,400

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
