Short Description

The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

Overview

The Cooper Surgery Center at Moorestown is a modern outpatient facility with six operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and an interventional radiology suite. Patients receive seamless care from pre-operative assessment through recovery, supported by a skilled surgical team and advanced technology. Specialties include general, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, vascular, and other minimally invasive procedures designed for faster recovery and greater comfort. Experience Required

* 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred.

Education Requirements

* Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists

License/Certification Requirements

* Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT - National Center for Competency Testing, etc.).

Special Requirements

* 6:30A-5P
* Must annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a Surgical Technologist in NJ
