Medical Assistant
Come join a leader in foot and ankle care in New Jersey! As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Responsibilities:
- Interviewing patients and document basic medical history.
- Organizing and scheduling appointments into EMR (Athena).
- Taking vitals as part of patient intake.
- Assisting with basic office procedures, injections.
- Ensure that all instruments are processed and labeled correctly.
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
- Accurately complete requisition forms and lab/imaging forms.
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments.
Requirements:
- Prior experience preferred however no experience warranted.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software, such as Athena is a plus.
