The Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center, located at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, is an award winning and leading provider of early childhood education in South Jersey for over 50 years. The Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center at the Katz JCC is currently seeking an Assistant Director position. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the day-to-day operations of Center
• Assistant with perspective parent tours
• Assistant Director of Camp
• Weekly Meetings with Director
• New Hire paperwork and onboarding
• Creating a new onboarding system
• Supervise OHOD campers and Advocates
• Maintain facilities binder and ensure the maintenance of facility is in order
• Correspond with Sodexo
• Order snacks and supplies
• Supervise all consultants: OT, PT, Speech, behaviorists, Shimshinim (be the point person
• Understand and support proper staffing ratios; held with staff schedules and special schedules
• Maintain staff resource room
• Provide guidance and supervision of Room Parent Coordinators and Parent Committee
• Participating in Parent Communication as needed
• Oversee office manager with tasks
• Manage staff records
• Assistant with curriculum and classroom observations as needed
• Help coordinate Special Events / programming
• Supervise Infant/ Toddler wing (curriculum, classroom management and staff conflict)
• Assist with behavior problems when escalating to administration
• Act as one of the contacts for ECC Assist with Meet and Greets / Orientation

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of NJ licensing regulations and compliance standards.
