Job Summary:
The Clerk oversees the daily operation of the front desk in the hospital main lobby and works with the Patient Satisfaction team to ensure a high quality experience for all who enter Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus,
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 3-5 years in Patient Satisfaction, Customer Service, or related field preferred
- Behavioral Competency: Customer Service, Confidentiality, Professionalism, Communication, Listening, Teamwork, Quality/ Performance Improvement, Autonomy/Organization, Accountability, Ownership
- Professional Development Job Awareness
Essential Functions:
- Refers patient and family member concerns to the Department of Patient Satisfaction for investigations when indicated,
- Serves as a role model and mentor to volunteers and front desk personnel,
- Assists callers by providing appropriate and accurate information,
- Assures a neat and clean main lobby environment and initiates corrective action as appropriate,
- Assures that the professional visitor identification policy is implemented at all times,
- Coordinates patient information inquiries using telephone extensions,
- Initiates contact with all individuals entering through the main entrance and offers to assist them in reaching their destination,
- Operates the front desk inclusive of related technology and systems,
- Provides visitors with information concerning area accommodations and amenities,
- Performs all other duties as assigned,
