Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Perform emergency troubleshooting and repairs when breakdowns occur.
• Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools and machinery.
• Test fixed machinery to ensure proper performance.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Document repair and maintenance work for record-keeping purposes.
• Recommend improvements or modifications to enhance system performance.

• Comfortable running independently.
• Process equipment experience.
• Comfortable working with chillers and boilers.
• Start-up and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of Allen Bradley PLC.
• Bilingual (Spanish).

• Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role.
• Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
• Familiarity with using various power and hand tools.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Degree in engineering or manufacturing is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.

This position operates on the 3rd shift as an Electro Mechanic Supervisor. The work environment is primarily focused on electrical tasks (80%) with some mechanical responsibilities (20%). You will be working in a food manufacturing environment where proper gowning is required, and floors may be wet at times.

This is a Permanent position based out of Perth Amboy, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $94000.00/yr.
