Job Overview:

The Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech prepares and educates patients on telemetry transmitters, telemetry monitoring and electrocardiograms. Uses and understands the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care. Assists new employees in the policy and procedures of the department.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• Successful completion of all orientation programs

Preferred

• Successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time
• 36 hours per week (7pm-7:30am)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday requirements
• Night Shift

Essential Functions:

• Prepares and educates patients on telemetry transmitter, telemetry monitoring and electrocardiograms.
• Uses and understands the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
• Assists new employees in the policy and procedures of the department.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, mission and vision of Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus
• Performs all other duties as assigned
