Accounting Consultant – 6 Month Project (Hybrid)
Location: Princeton, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant for a 6-month project opportunity in the Princeton, NJ area. This role is covering for a team member who will be out on leave and will play a key role in supporting the accounting team during that time. The position offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote (Thursday and Friday).
Responsibilities:
Support the month-end close process
Prepare and post journal entries
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
Process payroll-related journal entries
Assist with sales tax filings
Support external audit requests and work closely with auditors (PwC)
Utilize Excel for reporting and analysis (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)
Qualifications:
3 years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of month-end close and general ledger accounting
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
Experience with ERP systems; JDE experience is a strong plus
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
