We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will manage essential financial tasks, ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date. This position is based in Carlstadt, New Jersey, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities:• Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between financial records and bank statements.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial data effectively.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries to support decision-making and compliance.
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly and efficiently.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Stay updated on bookkeeping best practices and industry standards.• Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial principles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.
• Solid knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience conducting accurate bank reconciliations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and aptitude for working with numbers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
