Overview:
WebMD Ignite is seeking a strategic and user-obsessed Senior Product Manager to lead the roadmap and evolution of Coach, our flagship care management solution. Coach empowers payer-based care teams—including Care Managers, Health Coaches, Triage Nurses, and Case Managers—to deliver personalized health education to members managing acute and chronic conditions. In this role, you will drive the vision, development, and adoption of Coach as a clinical enablement tool within payer organizations. You'll guide a cross-functional team to deliver intuitive, high-impact capabilities that enhance care team workflows and improve member outcomes. This position requires a strong mix of strategic thinking, healthcare expertise (particularly payer workflows), product leadership, and technical fluency. We're seeking a passionate, collaborative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the “voice of the user,” representing payer care team needs across internal and client-facing initiatives.
- Define and maintain the multi-year product roadmap for Coach, aligning with WebMD Ignite’s broader platform strategy.
- Collaborate with UX, engineering, content, and data science teams to deliver best-in-class search, recommendation, and tagging features that help care teams easily find relevant content.
- Partner with clients and internal clinical SMEs to ensure content relevance and usability within care workflows.
- Own backlog management, prioritization, and writing user stories that translate clinical and business needs into actionable features.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide product direction and innovation.
- Lead with your dev manager buy-build-partner evaluations for any third-party integrations or enhancements.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop business models, pricing strategies, and ROI justifications for product investments.
- Support go-to-market efforts, client implementations, and training content.
- Monitor product usage metrics and client feedback to continuously improve adoption and outcomes.
- Present product updates to executives, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare technology, payer solutions, or clinical tools.
- Strong understanding of care management, case management, or coaching workflows in payer environments.
- Experience with search tools, content platforms, or recommendation engines is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence and align across functions.
- Proven ability to lead product strategy, manage roadmaps, and deliver on time.
- Strong data skills — experience using analytics to drive decisions and product improvements.
- Proficient with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, YouTrack, Salesforce, Google Workspace, and collaboration platforms.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Health Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with Pragmatic, SVPG, dual-track agile, or similar product development frameworks.
- Comfortable presenting to and collaborating with both technical teams and clinical audiences.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with payer clients or enterprise health systems.
- Exposure to electronic health records (EHRs), care management platforms, or member engagement solutions.
- Understanding of clinical terminology and health literacy standards.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for Payers, including HEDIS, NCQA, etc.
