Lead Software Engineer
Kforce has a client in need of a Lead Software Engineer in Jersey City, NJ. Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical SME for one or more applications
- Partner with Business Systems Analysts to ensure solutions meet functional requirements
- Collaborate with Infrastructure on efficient hosting and deployment
- Optimize application performance and resolve technical issues
- Design, build, test, and support application components across the SDLC
- Conduct unit and functional testing to meet functional and non-functional requirements
- Research and apply solutions aligned with technology standards
- Support development, testing, troubleshooting, and production environments
- Apply appropriate development methodologies based on project needs
- Embed risk and control practices into daily work and escalate issues as needed
- Contribute to CI/CD practices and continuous improvement across teams
- 8+ years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and data warehouse technologies
- Experience with Snowflake; Oracle and other cloud databases
- Programming experience in Python and/or Java
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools
- AWS cloud experience
- Strong Unix/Linux skills, including shell scripting
- Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in OTC derivatives or financial markets
- Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams
