Senior LIMS Software Engineer - Remote
Kforce is working with a well-known client in search of a Senior LIMS Software Engineer - Remote to join their team! Overview: Are you an experienced Software Engineer passionate about building solutions that power cutting-edge clinical diagnostics? We're looking for a Senior LIMS Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing and developing enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) functionality that supports critical laboratory workflows and business processes. This is a full-time, remote position with occasional travel (up to 10%) and offers a performance bonus. - Build integrations with enterprise applications using APIs, web services, and middleware
- Create and optimize reports and dashboards using tools like Advanced Analytics and Crystal Reports
- Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and SMEs to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
- Provide technical support for validation, troubleshooting, and production systems
- Maintain detailed technical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Manage tasks in Jira and Confluence, ensuring timely updates
- Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related STEM field; Master's degree is a plus
- 5+ years of hands-on LIMS development experience (not administrative)
- Strong SQL skills and experience managing large relational databases
- Expertise in enterprise system integration (REST APIs, web services)
- Proven track record implementing LIMS in regulated environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Extensive experience with StarLIMS v12 and its technology layers
- Experience with Advanced Analytics dashboards and Crystal Reports
- Familiarity with NGS instrumentation and workflows
- Proficiency in StarLIMS scripting, HTML5, Jscript, and SQL
